The first website dedicated to amateur radial
velocity studies
Spectrashift.com is a collaborative
effort of amateur astronomers from around the
world. Our goal is to construct a 1.1 meter
telescope and spectrograph to discover extrasolar
planets using radial velocities.
We have already demonstrated a level of capability
by detecting the known planet around the star
Tau Bootis. Information on our publication in
the Journal
of the British Astronomical Association can
be found here

We have full funding for the 1.1 meter observatory
to be built this fall! The bubble dome is under
construction. The 16" detects its first
extrasolar planet transit. We welcome Beth Christie
to the team.
